The Heart of Portsmouth Boxing Academy (HOP) was celebrating this weekend after 2 of their boxers reached the final of the England Boxing Minors Final (12yrs). St Edmunds School Students Oliver Fenton and Harry Brown both crowned South of England Boxing Champions will be competing for the England Boxing Minors National Title on Saturday 12th April 2014 at Walkden Sixth Form Centre, Worsley, Manchester. Both boxers have won convincingly in every round they have boxed in this years championship and are looking to go all the way on Saturday 12th April in Manchester.
Brown will take on Coan Dildart (Leigh Boxing Club) and Fenton will face Ahid Khan (Hamer Boxing Club).
Head coach of the Junior boxers Paul Kapnisi is delighted with the boxers results this season and added – both boxers have reached the national final due to hard work and dedication and commitment to training. Both boxers were in all over the summer holidays working on there technique and strength and conditioning.

Both the boxers have worked very hard to achieve their wins, there dedication and commitment to training is unquestionable and they are a shinning example to what young people can do if they put their mind to it, they are role model’s to young people pushing the barriers for sport at all levels. The HOP Coaching Team are delighted in the effort and time that these young people are putting into there training and they can be proud as they are representing there School, Portsmouth City and the South of England.
