HOP’s Fab Five – Prepare for National Title Assault.
HOP “Fab Five” boxers are trained and ready for this year’s National Schoolboy/ Girl Championships 2015.
Sonny Driscoll (Cowplain Comprehensive) kicked off his title assault on Saturday 25th April in Gosport when he took on Teddy Price (Smallholdings boxing club) to win on a unanimous decision of the judges his inter county stage, Which he put in a great performance – winning his way into the Southern Counties Regional Final.
On Saturday 2nd May 2015 the Southern Counties Regional final will take place at The Charles Dickens Centre, with boxers from Surrey, Kent, Sussex and Hampshire all boxing to be Southern Counties boxing title and then move forward to the England Boxing National Quarter Final round.
The southern quarter Final stage will be hosted by Heart of Portsmouth Boxing Academy, Charter Sports Centre, Greetham Street, Portsmouth PO54HL on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th May 2015, starting at 12:30pm.
Saturday 2nd May 2015 – Charles Dickens Centre, Portsmouth.

All boxers have been well prepared under the watchful eye of HOP head coach of the junior boxers Paul Kapnisi and his coaching team.
The boxers were training over the Christmas holidays, Easter holidays and are ready to rock and roll in this year’s championships.
They have been put through their paces in preparation in Strength and conditioning, running, swimming, gym work/ track work.
We are very happy with the way the championship preparations have gone. Head coach of HOP Junior Boxers Paul Kapnisi is delighted with the boxers attitude and determination.
